Greetings and Welcome to the CTHA Website!
We hope that you will take a few moments to explore our website and learn more about the Central Texas Historical Association.
The Central Texas Historical Association was organized January 25, 2015. The Association is dedicated to the preservation of Central Texas history and culture; to the support of state and local historical societies, museums, and archives; and to the teaching of all areas of history related to the Central Texas region.
The Association's permanent office is located on the Blinn College--Bryan Campus in Bryan, Texas.
The Association holds an annual meeting with sessions devoted to a wide variety of fields related to the history of Central Texas. Additionally, the meeting will include special joint sessions sponsored by the East Texas Historical Association, West Texas Historical Association, and South Texas Historical Association.
The Association also holds an annual symposium on various topics related to the Central Texas region.

Where is Central Texas?
Answers to this question will vary depending on who you ask. The CTHA has defined the region in general terms, but we do not want anyone to feel as if they are left out. So we have adopted a simple rule regarding the definition of Central Texas: If you think you are part of the Central Texas region, then you are!
